Our Philosophy
Our goal is to encourage as many Washington families as possible to save for college. As state employees, we're not trying to "sell" you anything. Instead we're committed to helping you understand how the GET program works so you can decide if it's the right choice for you and your family.
Although thousands of Washington families have opened GET accounts, the program isn't right for everyone. For example, if your child or grandchild is already in high school or college, the GET program may not be the best choice. However, for families with more time to save, GET offers a unique set of benefits not available anywhere else.
